Waifu cards: questions answered

What are waifu cards?
Waifu cards are trading cards collected for the female character they feature rather than for gameplay. They exist across every major anime TCG — One Piece, Weiss Schwarz, Union Arena, Pokémon trainer cards and more — plus Riot's Riftbound, and their value comes from artwork, character popularity, rarity and collector demand rather than competitive usefulness.
How many waifu cards does TCGWaifu track?
684 curated cards across 8 trading card games and 161 sets, covering 396 characters. Set pages additionally carry the complete card list for every set we have data for, not only the curated highlights.
What is the most expensive waifu card?
The most valuable card we track is Boa Hancock (OP07 Leader SP) at $6,970. The most expensive waifu cards ranking lists the full top tier with weekly market prices.
What is a Waifu Score?
A 0–100 composite we calculate for every card from artwork (25%), character popularity (20%), rarity (15%), market value (15%), collector demand (15%) and set importance (10%). Market value is log-scaled so a single four-figure grail does not flatten the rest of the list, which is why a well-executed cheap alt art can outrank a dull expensive secret rare.
Are the prices on TCGWaifu real market prices?
Where we have data, yes — prices refresh weekly from TCGplayer market data and each card page shows when it was last updated. Cards without a live feed carry an editorial estimate for a near-mint copy, labelled as such. We never present an estimate as a live price.
Where can I buy waifu cards?
Every card page links to TCGplayer and eBay listings for that specific print. For a particular chase card, buying the single is almost always cheaper than the expected cost of pulling it from sealed product — the set pages explain the box maths for each release.
